OMBRÉ POWDER BROWS
Ombré powder brows are a modern take on the old school brow tattoo. Soft “powdery” shading is applied to the brows with a cosmetic tattoo machine to create a natural filled-in look. The color is buildable from super soft to more bold and defined according to client preference. This technique is great for those who are used to filling in their brows with a brow pencil, and is ideal for all skin types. Results typically last 1-3 years—or longer with recommended touch-ups, depending on skin type and lifestyle.

Lip Blush
Lip Blush is a form of cosmetic tattooing that shapes and defines the lips. The results are a natural, sheer pop of color that won’t smudge or smear. Results last 1-3+ years depending on skin type and lifestyle.

EYELINER
Eyeliner Tattoo (Lash Enhancement) is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that defines and enhances the eyes by applying pigment along the lash line. It creates the appearance of fuller lashes and a naturally outlined eye shape, reducing the need for daily makeup while offering long-lasting, smudge-proof results.

Microblading
Brows are expertly shaped and hair-like strokes of pigment are deposited into the brow with handheld microblade consisting of a tiny row of needles. The results add fullness to your brows by mimicking your own hair. This technique is suitable for those with normal to dry skin and typically lasts 1-3 years—or longer with recommended touch-ups, depending on skin type and lifestyle.

Nano Brows
Nano is a cutting edge alternative to microblading that uses a single needle on a cosmetic tattoo machine to create airy, hair-like strokes without cutting into the skin. This technique is extremely gentle and is ideal for all skin types—including oily, sensitive and mature skin. Results typically last 1-3 years—or longer with recommended touch-ups, depending on skin type and lifestyle.
Leah's Work
Leah Riedel

Hi, I’m Leah — the artist behind Blade & Shade.
My career began in healthcare as a dental assistant, where I built a strong foundation in precision, sanitation, and patient care. Art and beauty have always been my passion, and in 2018 I had my ah-ha moment after getting ombré powder brows done myself — it instantly clicked that this was what I wanted to do. I became obsessed in the best way and earned my certification and state license for permanent cosmetics in 2019.
Now, with years of experience and thousands of hours behind the machine, I specialize in permanent brows, eyeliner, and lips that look natural, balanced, and have beautiful long-term healed results.
Outside of the studio, I’m a mom and wife who loves spending time with my family here in Puyallup. Whether we’re outdoors, supporting local businesses, or just enjoying a cozy night in, home is where I recharge and find inspiration for the work I do.

The pigment typically needs to be freshened up every 1-3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle and preferred look.
We use a topical anesthetic so there is minimal discomfort. In fact, many clients fall asleep during the treatment!
If you are a returning client to Blade and Shade, you qualify for the discounted annual touch up fee which is noted on our booking site.
You will have very clear instructions for aftercare, which is essential in the healing process in order to achieve the best results. There are certain limitations regarding sun exposure, sweating, going in a pool, etc. for a brief time after the treatment.
